The main intervention areas of GEOSAN are industrial installations, brownfields, building projects, petrol stations, port areas, dumpsites, mines and quarries, protected water collection areas, calamities and dredging materials .

GEOSAN also carries out drills and samplings at the request of other recognised soil experts both in its usual area of activities ( Belgium and France ) and throughout Europe . Within this scope we carried out projects in several countries, including the Netherlands , UK ( Scotland & England ), Portugal , etc.

GEOSAN carried out the risk assessment on the site of the wastewater treatment plant of Brussels North and assisted in the remediation.

As a result of a rich industrial past this brownfield of approx. 10 ha featured an impressive mix of contamination parameters. GEOSAN carried out the detailed investigation and thus mapped the soil and groundwater contamination plumes. Groundwater modelling was done on the basis of Modflow® in order to assess the distribution risks in this heterogeneous geological context. The remediation works (October 2003 until August 2006) were constantly monitored by a GEOSAN site manager.
